In 2010 the now popular designer duo joined hands to establish the label DARSHI SHAH BHAVIN TRIVEDI, now fondly called DSBT. Over the years, they have been featured
in popular international, national and regional publications, been chief guests at textile and fashion events, judged fashion shows, been speakers at seminars and visited
numerous design institutes as members of the faculty. They are regularly featured on Page 3 and quoted in fashion articles in local newspapers.
Pret-a-Porter and Couture are both done at DSBT, customization in all our designs, irrespective of body types is our forte. Our design elements are subtle and yet sharp enough to impart individuality to the wearer and flatter their sense of fashion. Our clientele is diversified in a variety of socio-economic classes as well as age groups. A teenager or a middle aged person would both find something at DSBT to suit their respective fancies. Our collection is eclectic and garments very practical and wearable. Be it bridal-wear, trousseau, or just semi-formal occasion-wear, they are all given elements that make the garment glamorous and the silhouette flattering.
The Salwar Kameez at DSBT is a plethora of Anarkali, floor length and midi length, straight fit Long Kurtis, Tunics and other designs. Elements like raised necklines, boat necklines, low back, backless, layering, short and long jackets etc make them unique. Some styles even have western elements like Halter Necks and Spaghetti Straps. Even the Saree has found a new meaning at our studio.
Limited edition Sarees, exclusive Panetars and Lehenga Sarees are a speciality at DSBT. We are popular for Chaniya Cholis, Lehengas, Shararas for Brides and Bridesmaids too. Our blouses are glamorously designed with asymmetric fronts, frilled edges, spaghetti straps, tie-up fronts and backs and the most flattering necklines like a raised neckline, scooped necks, boat necks etc. DSBT makes sensuous corsets reminiscent of the classic Elizabethan times and some are embellished further to make garments befitting a princess.
The Gowns at DSBT have the glamour of the west while keeping in mind the modesty associated with the Indian culture. In turn, the Classic Indian Embroidery used on them makes them fit for a queen. Bolero Jackets, Shrugs, Long Jackets etc are given a touch of classic Indian Embroidery and coupled with Gowns to make a regal ensemble.
At DSBT we offer the best sartorial perfection with exquisite designs in menswear.
The Sherwanis here have innovative cuts, placement embroidery and unconventional fabrics unlike menswear stores that remain limited to run-of-the-mill Dulha Collection. Besides traditional Sherwanis and Indowestern groom’s clothing, DSBT has a lot more for the Man’s wardrobe ranging from Linen Kurtas for a Sunday afternoon to a groom’s Tuxedo for the reception, the casual blazers for a bachelor’s party to a staid Jodhpuri Suit for a formal occasion. Even the bottoms offered are a variety of Patiyala Salwars, Dhotis, Dhoti Salwars, Pathani Salwars, Tapered Pajamas, Choodidars and Zouvaves that make a Metrosexual style and enhance the silhouette.
We use various fabrics such as the Jamawar Brocades, Kinkhwab, Tanchoi, Silk Tissue, Velvet, Silk Mulls, Organza, Voile, Chanderi, Chiffons, Georgettes Raw Silks, Matka Silks etc. Traditional embroideries like Aari, Marodi, Zardoshi, Gota-patti, Kundankari and Baadla are used uniquely and innovatively such that they impart grace and grandeur to the garment and consequently the wearer.
Occasions like Marriage, Reception, Sangeet Sandhya, Engagement, Rokka, Mehdi, Baby Showers, Bachelor Parties and Hen Nights become memorable in exquisite DSBT apparels and ensembles.
One of our most sought after garments is a line of Cotton Casual Weekend Dressing and Resort Wear Collection for young women, different from staple collections available at malls and MBOs. This line offers Rompers, Jumpsuits, Zouave dresses, Handkerchief Dresses, Palazzos et al. Muslins, mulls, voiles, linens etc comprise the fabric variety.
The studio is designed more like a fashion lounge so that the clients feel like they are indulging and not shopping. The vintage artifacts, Moroccan lamps, exposed bricks, stucco like plaster, lush garden around the studio all have a soothing effect on the visitors.
